Urgent English Institute is actively working toward SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) certification. Per U.S. Department of Homeland Security policy, a school may not issue Forms I-20 nor enroll F-1 international students while its SEVP certification is pending. We are diligently preparing our application and will update this page as soon as our certification status changes.

Here is how the international student process works once a school is SEVP-certified. We provide this information so you can prepare in advance.
Submit your application, supporting documents, and proof of financial ability to a school authorized to issue I-20 forms. The school reviews your application and determines if you meet admission requirements.
Once accepted, the school's Designated School Official (DSO) issues your Form I-20, "Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status." This is the document you need to apply for an F-1 visa.
Before your visa interview, you must pay the SEVIS I-901 fee (currently $350 for F-1 students) online at fmjfee.com. Keep your payment confirmation receipt.
Complete the DS-160 online visa application, schedule an interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country, and attend your interview with your I-20, SEVIS fee receipt, and supporting documents.
Once your visa is approved, you may enter the U.S. up to 30 days before your program start date listed on your I-20. Present your passport, visa, and I-20 at the port of entry.
While we work toward SEVP certification, here is what you can prepare.
Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the United States. Renew it now if needed — this is the most common delay in the process.
F-1 visa applicants must demonstrate the financial ability to cover tuition, living expenses, and other costs. Start gathering bank statements, sponsor letters, or scholarship documentation now.
The stronger your English before arrival, the faster you will progress. Consider starting with online resources, language apps, or local English classes to build your foundation.
